CLEAR Q&A
FAQ for BOLKAR live cohorts.
This FAQ is a direct Q&A reference for choosing a BOLKAR program, joining a cohort, and understanding what happens before and after payment.
- Which BOLKAR programme should I choose?
Choose Spoken English (₹4,499) if you already understand English and can form basic sentences, but freeze when you have to speak. Choose Complete English (₹6,499) if you want to build sentence patterns from the foundation alongside speaking practice. If you're unsure, book a free demo — the trainer will tell you honestly which one fits.
- How long is the programme?
Each cohort runs 32 live sessions of 60 minutes each, over approximately two months.
- What are the session timings?
Timings are set for each batch and confirmed before the batch begins. Because our groups are small, we fix timings that work for the learners in that batch. Message us on WhatsApp to hear the timings for the next batch.
Ask current session timings- When does the next batch start?
Batches begin on announced start dates. Message us on WhatsApp at +91 70303 96001 and we'll tell you the next available start date.
- How many people are in a batch?
We keep batches deliberately small so everyone gets airtime, correction, and accountability in every session.
- Is the demo really free?
Yes. The demo is a free one-on-one session of about 30 to 40 minutes with the trainer. It's one-on-one rather than a group session because every learner is at a different level, and we want to assess yours properly. There's no obligation to enrol afterwards.
- Who is the trainer?
Mugdha Labhade, Founder and Lead Trainer at BOLKAR. She is Indian, and instruction is in simple English with Hindi or Marathi explanations when a concept needs it.
- Do you teach grammar?
Yes, but not by memorising rules. Grammar is taught through usable sentence patterns, examples, and repeated speaking practice, so you learn it in the way you'll actually use it. The Complete English cohort covers this in greater depth.
- What if I miss a session?
You'll get the recording of that session, so you can catch up. Missed sessions aren't rescheduled or repeated, and you can't move to a different batch because of them.
- Are sessions recorded?
Yes. Every session is recorded, and all participants appear in the recording, not just the trainer. If you'd prefer not to appear, you can keep your camera off and use a display name that doesn't identify you — just tell your trainer. Recordings are shared with learners who miss a session, and are available for 3 months after your cohort ends.
- How do I get feedback?
You get individual feedback from your trainer based on how you actually speak in sessions. We use the session transcript to prepare it — automated tools help produce the first draft, and your trainer reviews and edits every one before it reaches you.
- Do I need a certain level of English to join?
You should be able to understand basic English. BOLKAR is designed for people who understand more English than they can confidently speak.
- What do I need to join a session?
A laptop or smartphone, a working microphone, and a stable internet connection. Sessions run on Zoom.
- What happens after I pay?
Within 24 hours you'll receive your seat confirmation, invoice, cohort start date, session timings, WhatsApp group link, and joining instructions.
- Will I get an invoice?
Yes, automatically, to every learner after payment. BOLKAR is not currently registered under GST.
- Can I pay in instalments?
Yes, where EMI is available on your card through Razorpay at checkout. Available tenures and any interest are set by your card issuer, not by BOLKAR.
- What's your refund policy?
Full refund if you cancel more than 24 working hours before your cohort's first session. No refund within 24 working hours of the start, or after the cohort has begun. If we cancel or postpone a cohort, you can move to another batch or take a full refund. Full details on our Cancellation and Refund Policy page.
- Will I get a certificate?
Yes. Every learner who completes the programme receives a certificate.
- Is there a WhatsApp group?
Yes, one for each cohort. It's used for session links, daily practice tasks, and announcements, and it stays active after the cohort ends so you can keep practising with your batch.
- Is my data safe?
We collect only what we need to run the programme, we don't sell your data to anyone, and you can ask us to delete it at any time. Full details on our Privacy Policy page.
- How quickly do you reply?
Within 24 hours, on WhatsApp or email.
- Who is BOLKAR for?
BOLKAR is for working professionals, students, and job seekers in India who understand English but lose confidence when it is time to speak it. Learners usually join to handle meetings, interviews, presentations, and everyday conversations without freezing. You do not need advanced English to start — you need to be able to follow basic English.
- Is BOLKAR good for beginners?
If you understand basic English but freeze when you have to speak, yes — that is exactly who BOLKAR is built for. If you are starting further back and need sentence patterns from the foundation, the Complete English cohort covers that before the speaking pressure increases. Book a free demo and the trainer will tell you honestly which one fits.
- How do I improve my spoken English for job interviews?
Practise speaking under mild pressure with someone who corrects you, rather than only reading grammar rules or drilling on an app. BOLKAR sessions put you in the exact moments interviews test — introductions, explaining your work, answering follow-up questions — and your trainer gives you feedback on how you actually spoke. Interview English is one of the things the Spoken English cohort is built for.
- How is BOLKAR different from an English speaking app?
An app gives you drills and a score; BOLKAR gives you a live trainer and real people to speak with. Every session is live practice where you speak, get corrected, and speak again, and your feedback is based on how you spoke in that session rather than on a generated exercise. Apps are useful for vocabulary, but speaking confidence comes from speaking to people.
- Where is BOLKAR located, and can I join from outside Pune?
BOLKAR is based in Pune and teaches learners across India. Every session is live and online, so you can join from any city with a laptop or smartphone, a working microphone, and a stable internet connection. There is no in-person classroom to travel to.
- How much does a BOLKAR cohort cost?
The Spoken English cohort is ₹4,499 and the Complete English cohort is ₹6,499, each covering 32 live sessions of 60 minutes over approximately two months. Both include trainer feedback, between-class practice tasks, and a certificate on completion. The demo before you enrol is free.
